This story starts with DNF; a barren wasteland that once was a leading forum within the domain industry. While the forum itself played a huge role in propagating the myth that is Adam Dicker, the story really begins with DNF College in the summer of 2011.

These are in no particular order.

From what I understand, Adam still owes north of $33,000 to previous customers and business partners. As I receive more information, I will update this figure.

Fair enough, good point I don't want to rob others of their chance to come forward. Tnx

Namepros seems to have been pretty liberal (and devoting resources) with this thread, but eventually policing it for memes and looping rants will get it shut down, and then where will you go to voice your story?

Namepros have already said earlier in this thread that only the OP can close it.

It's his call and I would point out if people are getting payments from Adam Dicker they should only consider those secure after the potential chargeback period has ended, which in some cases now can be six months - so it really is in your interest to keep this thread open, so you have some comeback if you need it.

You can also contact, or share, or search, or comment on Adam Dicker on Twitter @adamdicker http://twitter.com/adamdicker where he has an impressive count of followers.

You can also call Adam Dicker - for $10 a minute, minimum 15 minutes - that's just $150.00 as per his offer here:
https://clarity.fm/adamdicker

There are some glowing reviews on that Clarity.fm page, including one from Rick Schwartz but not Marissa Meyer - here they are in full for your info:

I received 2 offers on a domain name and wasn't sure what route to go. I decided to seek Adam Dicker's advice. Both offers were structured differently and Adam gave me his opinion on what route he thought was best. I am very thankful that I was able to speak with Adam as this now clears any doubts in my mind as to what route I should have, could have, would have gone. Thanks Adam

Adam had done his research before the call and gave me expert advice as soon as we began the conversation.

Professional, courteous, open and have complete command on the subject. Suggested some good ideas for increasing sales volume and attracting new buyers. Hopefully I will be able to achieve my goals by acting on the given advice. Thank you Adam for your time and answering all the questions.

I have known Adam for a good 10 years. He has unselfishly given his time and expertise to over 100,000 members of his forum. The only true domain name forum on the Internet. Adam knows the industry from many sides and that makes him one of the most qualified people in the world of domaining. Besides that, Adam is a good and trusted friend.

Adam is one of those people who can do it all. He is extremely knowledgable in many areas and is constantly seeking to learn more.

He is also very hands on and because of that, things get done. Adam also is extremly good at picking his team and again because of that, things get done.

Adam is the quarterback that you want on your team.

I joined Adam's forum several years ago and have sold many, many domain names there and have gained valuable contacts. I have also sold a few domain names to Adam himself and he has also been professional and strived for a win-win situation. I look forward to future business!

Adam has a very powerful understanding of where the domain industry is headed. He has been at the center of the industry for many years.

Adam is very knowledgeable on the domain industry as proven by his own portfolio, his work on DNF, and his many industry speaking engagements. At IREIT Adam proved adept at working both on his own and as part of the larger team. His strengths are heavily around generic domain valuation and his network within the industry. I also believe he has a very good nose for where the industry is headed.

Adam is truly a pleasure to work with. His expertise and knowledge of our industry was critical to the success of our company. Adam is also a great manager and mentor. He has the patience and style to manage large or small teams that add value to organizations. I recommend Adam for any position and believe he is a critical executive that employers will benefit from.

It was a pleasure to work with Adam at iREIT. He is an imminently qualified in the field of domaining yet one never had to deal with an outsized ego. All in all it was a rich experience working with him.

What interests me most from all of this is that you are using WordPress to power your blog. What's wrong with you? A LOT is wrong w/ the web and domaining and it forever will be --- unless you are holding onto its strings. Wake up and make your money. WordPress? Really?

Do you think he (Michael Cyger) has an obligation given all that has transpired to remove all those interviews that proclaim Adam Dicker as a domain and business guru to be inspired by and learned from? Maybe Cyger was in the dark like most of us but I'm sure he knows now. Breaking his association for future interviews was a good start though.

"Publish and be damned." I don't believe in removing stuff published in hindsight. Negative or positive. Let it serve as a testament. Maybe make some edits on the stuff that has been debunked.

Hell, do a piece on it! A self-critical piece with inside information.

Tough nut, with all the collegial feel the shows are dripping of...

Removing stuff would imply guilt. Covering the transpiring story and using past interviews would imply no prior knowledge and honesty.

@ carob why are you enabling Adam?

In your last two posts you mention 'his impressive Twitter followers amount' and in the very next post his 'positive reviews' on some paid call service.

People like you set up the scam!!!!!

What's impressive about buying Twitter followers on fiver?????

What's impressive about having your friends that you either advertise on their sites or speak at their conferences say nice things about you???

And now people saying leave the bogus interviews up on DomainSherpa up!?!

If I was on the same show I'd insist they were all removed. Sherpas do you really want to be associated with his scum bag?

That's how Adam Dicker set up his scams. He mixes real things like good interviews with legit people with his fraud. If a casual viewer watches him on a show with Mike Berkins, someone that has a massive amount of names. Legit cause he lists them with prices and is a stand up guy. You look at Adam and think we'll if Mike owns xxxxxxxxx names I guess it's not a stretch Adam owns xxxxxx and maybe people do follow this guy on Twitter maybe his courses teach these people something I don't know?

Maybe people start to believe his lies about his forum being the largest... I think I heard or read that some place. People think maybe he is a domain expert since he is introduced as one...

It's only been a few days and he's systematically silenced the detailed vocal cases that tugged on the heart strings. Shut up Frank and any other big names. Now you just have a few randoms and a bunch of unknowns.

Couple more days and with some seo start the process of pushing those links down like he did with his Godaddy scam and he's right back were he started. You'd never know what happened and the next guy comes along and get snagged!

Those domain Sherpa interviews have to go they are the bait and by leaving them up Cyger becomes an accomplice because he is publishing material which has been proven by Adams own people to be false and lies.

Thanks for clarifying - it isn't easy to find your original post, you could link back to it if you like. The point being to avoid repeating the discussion where people ask mods to close the thread - as you've said, mods can't do that, it is a decision for the OP, the site manager Eric, or presumably also the site owner.

It is a really valid point that people need to stay focused on obtaining their refunds now - you do not know how much longer Adam Dicker will be at liberty to pay you.

Hi Jeff I can understand you are justifiably seriously p*ssed off if Dicker owes you money or mistreated you. Why not ask him directly for a refund here on this thread and clearly state the amount? That has worked.

Please do have a look at the concrete suggestions I made earlier in the thread when someone asked how to protect others in future:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/is-adam-dicker-a-criminal-you-decide.883579/page-59#post-5045926
listing places where people can post reviews of Dicker's business. Such as ripoffreport.com

I'm not endorsing those positive Dicker reviews or Twitter followers - I am pointing out they exist and putting them open to question or comment. It is also possible the reviews are not genuine or the followers are bought (as you suggested) - it might be helpful if people look further into that.

That is a key point about how reputation management works - crowd out the bad stuff by creating profiles and sites all over so that one or two embarrasing sites or episodes get hard to find when they fall to page 4 on Google. There are a LOT of Adam Dicker profiles on the internet keeping a smiley face and rosy picture up there.

How many people knew Adam Dicker also does sex and relationship advice too...

This forum will not shut down the hottest thread they have especially when it is bashing the owner of their competition.

If you were one of the people he took money from, thousands of dollars it would bother you a lot. He deceived people that have mouths to feed. Bills to pay.

I think there are a lot of people speaking on their behalf, and that only a small number of those are doing so at their request or with their permission. The impression that I've got from the nichewebsites.com customers is that they want a refund, and the impression I've got from the former employees is that they want further reassurances that Adam Dicker is not going to try and cause trouble for them with their (probably invalid) NDA's, having already received the money that they are owed.

Not seen a single person who has identified themselves as a victim say that they want to take this as far as the FBI, neither have I seen those who have identified themselves as being in communication with them state that this is the case. So in the words of Adam Dicker the FBI talk is all "just noise".

•••
The problem is it's bullsh*t!! He's not getting back to anybody! Besides Frank Schilling who else has been paid back? Still lying! People are anonymous here. because of pending litigation. Just like most others here are anyway.

The former employees are not owed any money, and several of his NicheWebsites customers report being refunded.

If there is anybody else still awaiting reimbursement perhaps they should identify themselves, are you one of them?

Those who are here for help can reach out to Adam at his email to get things resolved. And if it's not to the satisfactory of the claimants, they can voice out here again.

On the other hand, there are some people here who are not affected / related going to the extreme to destroy someone.

It's easy to set up an anonymous account to criticise without revealing any vested interest in the bashing.

I don't think you have to be one of the victims to call things by its name. Adam Dicker is getting what he deserves... I don't think I would be satisfied just getting a refund. My advice to those affected by Adam is: stay calm, wait until you get paid, and then try to group together to pursue a class action. Get in touch with and attorney and let him figure out what's the best course of action in this particular scenario.

If nothing is done, I assure you that this won't be the last time we hear about him. These guys need to be taught the hard way.

I don't think he has yet gotten what he deserves. If the allegations are true, he has committed some serious crimes and justice would only be done in a criminal court. The reason why he keeps getting away with these acts and go on to repeat them is he filters victims that are meek and won't go to the proper authorities.

Irving Fryar the ex-NFL star and his mother were just convicted of mortgage fraud. They are getting jail time, monetary fines AND they are required to pay back their victims. That is justice.

I'm not condoning what he has done. I feel for those who suffered too.

But we should not forget this man's contributions as well.

Paying back SOME of his victims and only after they have gone public to complain on a message board does not constitute contributions.

When I say contributions, I mean contributions to the domaining community. How he has shared information and knowledge. How he has helped domainers. Do we discount all of these just because one did wrong?

Since you have been giving me dislikes a couple of time, why don't you reveal who you are, and what vested interest you have in this?

By thinking that contributions means only paying back shows how narrow focus and determined you are to put down a man.
