Projects like that is why he wins awards? He wins awards because there was only 2 people to choose from in the "Developer of the Year" category. Merlin Kauffman who just got over 10 million in funding for his great development or Adam Dicker that builds a bunch of cheap websites.

They chose the person who would actually show up for the awards ceremony. If Merlin Kauffman would have won he would have probably just laughed!!

Well, now that more of the complete picture has been revealed, take note of those individuals bestowing the award. It says a lot about THEIR character and/or ignorance of the truth.

Basically the award is a lot less meaningful to me and I would imagine others here too.

I believe Michael Cyger gave you the transcripts. He knew at some point this story would break but if he get's out in front of it, then it makes him look like like a hero because he confronted Adam and actually did something about it. If not he could have possibly been thrown under the bus for knowing about and not doing anything about it. Obviously just my opinion.

A couple things, people think all well known domainers know one another and our friends. That is not remotely true, Do you think Scott Day knows what Adam Dicker is doing ? What about Kevin Ham or Thunayan Al- Ghanim ? I remember when Mike Berkens started being on Sherpa with Adam and I said something one time like you know he owns a lot of LL.ca, decent portfolio of them. Mike said to me straight up, "I really don't know Adam, don't know much about him at all, I know he owns that forum but you know I am not a forum guy"

The awards are votes people nominated him and then voted him in, Howard Neu did not give Adam the award. I think developer of the year is one of those awards people just pick the name they know best, because we see little criteria what the award is based on. I nominated @Paul Buonopane but most outside Namepros don't know him, so without a concerted effort from Namepros he was not going to win.

Also, I don't see those who were shouting around with their biased emotions and were showing off sympathies to victims just a single day ago. I care for the victims too and hope they will resolve things with Adam soon, but that should not mean to bring a man down to his knees just because he has committed mistakes.

Aside from that, not sure which business school these hype-creators have learned to handle things like this, but there are professional ways to deal with things like these, especially when things are associated with something as big as what Adam was doing with his business. It requires thorough investigation and proper facts to identify as to why the issues arose and who actually is to blame. I still believe that Adam wasn't the only person to blame and that there can be other hands involved. But someone was in a hurry to create a propaganda for his personal gains or whatnot. It's a good thing that it all worked out for the benefit of the victims here, than for him only.

Lastly, a request. If you can't act as a professional here, at least respect those who respect the name and community of this forum, (i.e. namePROS = professionals, for those who can't figure it out themseleves).
