Hello fellow domainers.
Quick question, if you were thinking on launching a crowdfunding platform which DN would you use?
Sharing.Fund or
SharingFund.com
Comments greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Best answer = both. Favoring the .com

Thx for your input.
@ramkumaritrvs.. Why not .org?
It is not a non for profit. Will help non for profits to raise funds. Do not want to give the wrong impression to the funders.
Thanks again!!

If it's not for Non Profit then build with .com.

most of people / endusers don't know about new gtld's, they might got confuse about it. 95% of Np'ers recommended .com only. JMO.

Use both. Redirect the New GTLD to the .com. Then if perceptions change between .com vs New GTLD reverse the Redirect.

I'd take both too (and maybe other names -- shorter and/or brandable) but I'd just straight up use ntld if we're only speaking of your options.

Use both, one for redirect of course. .com is the most trusted extension around but the new gTLD might catch the users eye a bit more.

There's already a website on thesharingfund.com...?

But between .com and nGTLD - I would always choose .com and add the other only to protect my brand.

For a crowdfunding site seeking to raise startup venture capital, I don't believe the word "share" fits. Sharing is more about compassion and benevolence. I believe better choices would be...

VentureFund.com
StartupFund.com
StartupVentures.com

which are probably taken but the best .COM domains were taken years ago (though there are occasional drops and investors looking for liquidity). I wouldn't waste time with the new TLD version as no serious venture capital fund is going to launch a primary site in 2015 on a new TLD. Ten years from now we can revisit but thirty years after the launch of .Net I have found it difficult to sell .nets for much more than low $XXX. Fifteen years after the launch of .TV I have occasional sales but generally high $XXX to very low $XXXX - not worth paying $30/each in renewals.

Totally agree, sharing is either donating or social sharing meaning just showing stuff to people.

So why choose sharing?

Totally agree. No VC fundraise here. Social only.
