The use of technology in promoting domains & making sales is amazing. In a recent blog by @jamesiles How I Sold An $8,500 Domain Using Twitter, he mentioned the use of twitter.
In an earlier blog by @Ali Zandi Outbound techniques, we find some interesting applications & sites like zoominfo, followup.cc. Moreover there are few threads that suggests about drafting an email to reach & communicate endusers.

Here, Can we share our secrets? What measures do we employ to market & promote our domains. Which technique often works best for us. How we make our domain selling strategy.
Social Media Channels, How often do we make use of Social Media like Twitter, Facebook & others to spread the word.
Sharing is Caring, Kindly Share your Top Domaining Secrets! :)

Most domainers will refuse to answer. If spammers read it, they'd just muddy up everything worse for us.

Don't share this with too many people but a good plan is to sell at a higher price than you buy.

There is no secret really. What you need is the right inventory, then unsolicited offers and sales will follow.

Experts say, never be the first person to quote the price ( at least try not to be), let the other party give its offer, so you can counter offer with your price.

Like,

Heading: DomainName.com For Sale.
Content: Hello Brian. How much do you offer for this domain?
Signature: Your Full Name.

Seriously. Almost nobody is going to share their secrets that work for them. You need to read NP from top to bottom to get these gems of information. It might take you 4hrs a day for 3-6 months.

The secret is to keep them secret and not reveal in an open forum. ;)

There is no secret. The market is open to everyone.
Just buy the right names and they will be sold. You will keep the junk names for good - for sure.

As they say, there are two perspectives of selling a domain name.
1. Wait for the right buyer with maximum unreasonable offer for your valuable domain name.
or
2. Simply flip it with a decent return on investment, flipping it quickly as they suggest.

Plead the 5th on this one. Otherwise it wouldn't be a secret anymore would it?

None of this is new: it's talked about daily in the noob section.

No one will give you their secrets, especially in public. You'll have to learn them yourself.

That said, you might as well close/delete this thread.

I can agree with you on that, as there are not many replies received. With the Word Secret, I actually intended to get some thoughtful Gems on Domaining, certainly it was taken as something very secret to disclose. Yes you are right, learning the hardway is the secret actually. :)

It might seem like I'm being an asshole or domainers are assholes. No: SPAMMERS are assholes. If we went public with our secrets,we risk spammers (and unethical POS who like to think they're domainers) using them & making them ineffective. So yeah, we tend to be smart: we keep it out of public.
