I'm speculating on what these start ups will switch to when they grow up. Will these miss spelled names hold up to the test of time or will it just date them.

Sometimes I wonder if I am the only one who doesn't like them...
I mean I understand the brandability ( hence the value ) of Bagz or Menz or Gamez but that's about it really...

I like Seatz.com and Dollarz.com too. I also own Backorderz.com

@Puckerhuddle - Who knows... By the End of day, most of the start-up's resolved with .COM (started with new GLTDs or other top level domains... searching for exact matched domain in .COM later, now .COM are more expensive to buy so there may be a chance to settle with "Z" domains if they don't offer huge amount)

You're not alone. These are just cliched - and represent a lack of vision in naming a start-up. Along with all the overused cutesy suffixes, including -ly, r (in place or "er"), -ster, -io..... Why would anyone want to name their brand so it sounds like 100 other poorly thought out brands?

After reading the threads talking about domains starting with "VR" or ending with "Cloud", here comes the ones ending with "Z"...very interesting...
But I am a little confused about how this becomes a trend, if it is a trend?....Could anyone here clarify some background of it ?

I couldn't agree more.

I have Smoothiez.com on auction at Flippa.

I thing domains ending with "z" are the perfect alternative to the original keyword because not only are they cheaper, but you could also trademark them more easily (some generic keywords are harder to trademark)

Also it has to make sense,i.e, the plural is commonly used and has a natural flow when you pronounce the word.

This one works! Good luck with it.

For me, purely from a branding point of view the "z" must fit the product and how it is branded to work.

Seatz.com is a great example of this. If I'm looking to book for an event, then with the right marketing I'll look at seatz.com. Especially if it is a sports or entertainment event. It gives me impulse, it tells me to book quick because this event is hot. It gives me this adrenalin feeling more than seats.com (although of course seats.com has more value as a pure domain name). "Selling quick on seatz.com" , "Book now on seatz.com" flashing across the football signboard - I feel it.

Others don't resonate well to me thinking as a consumer. Sorry mate but again an example from this thread. Flowersz.com Even when I typed it in I put Flowerz.com by accident and if flowers.com and flowerz.com are gone I would probably choose something else. Again this is just my opinion based on branding+feel and I wish you good luck with your name.

Personally I got no domain with "z" at the end, I got one in mind to register as I feel I can brand it to suit the "z" and it is a product line I know well, but I wouldn't buy it to sell. And as you all know when your in the domain name, how often do we actually develop the name. Ha.

Jointventurez.com

I guess this one is my best domain ending with z. Could be used for JV network and affiliate site. Deserve a many potential affiliate sales.

Rick schwartz owns Jointventures.com for selling his valuable domain. That may I think will increased the value of my domain.
