I strongly urge any of you going into business with Dejan Lesicar (NamePros member @venturefile.com and owner of sites like sexydress.us) to be very cautious. He is about to cost our company Brandroot a lot of stress and money as we pursue serious legal action against him.

In short the details are as follows:

4/08/2014 - Dejan creates a Brandroot account
5/09/2014 - Wuvo.com is accepted and listed for sale at a price of $6750
09/29/2014 - Dejan requests that Wuvo.com be removed from Brandroot because "The name was accepted to an auction event."
10/14/2014 - Brandroot receives a $3,000 offer for wuvo.com
10/14/2104 - Dejan rejects and reminds us that he removed his name

We then remind him of his contractual obligation of keeping Wuvo exclusive to Brandroot for a period of 30 days following the request of removal.

10/15/2014 - In the interested buyer impatience he raises his offer to $4500.

Dejan is intrigued and writes, "Thank you for the update. That is a decent offer and I will seriously consider it." For several days Dejan is unresponsive, ignoring several of our emails.

10/22/2014 - In a matter of minutes of informing Dejan that he is no longer welcome to sell at Brandroot and that Wuvo.com will be removed, Wuvo.com sells at full price for $6750.

10/22/214 - Dejan decides that he does not want to sell Wuvo at Brandroot and that my email stating that his name was removed ended his contractual obligation with Brandroot (which the email in no way stated).

Our financial loss due to Dejan's unprofessionalism is not the concern. Brandroot is now left with one very unhappy customer threatening us with litigation. We have informed Dejan that we will stop at nothing, "making this venture of [his] a lot more expensive and stressful than [he] thought possible."

You've been warned. Dejan Lesicar is very capable of leaving you in one sticky situation if you enter into business with him.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I'm not sure I agree. Obviously, he hasn't handled things very well, but if you've ever felt like someone screwed you over, you'll be able to relate to his anger. I'm sure all of us have at one point or another lost our tempers and said things we'd later regret having said. It's not a capital offense. The guy has invested significant time, effort, and money into his business and I don't think he deserves to be ruined over a few posts. Hopefully, he learns from this and doesn't repeat the same mistakes. In the meantime, I think he's been punished more than enough.

This has gone postal , i did see a 'popcorn' reference to it on domaining/com ..... hey it's all fun until someone losses an eye

I understand what you're saying but when certain details change then the whole story changes. Here is an example and don't take offense by it.

If I start a thread saying DiscoBull is an asshole and you come back saying I am an asshole and we go back and forth calling each other assholes for a few pages on Namepros.

Then I go back in an edit my comment saying DiscoBull is awesome, he is incredible, the greatest etc….then everyone who reads it after I edit my comments will say why is Discobull such an asshole when Hookbox was being nice and giving him compliments.

Discobull didn't even start the fight but comes off looking like the asshole.

This is why comments on "certain" threads should be locked from editing and if editing can occur you should at least have to go through Namepros Admin to have it changed.

i would never in a million years using a service like that , that you can not remove your domain instantly - these TOS are NASTY !!!

however if you read contracts and sign them you MUST obey to the rules in it .

I am confused. I don't find this thread even remotely interesting. Just some silly name calling and self-taught legal minds parsing a crappy TOS. Nothing to see here, move along.

Speaking only for myself, if he's made any edits that make me look like an asshole, I'll be grateful to him for improving my image. :) As for everyone else, people are free to turn the tables on him and edit their posts or to call him out on any edits he's made. I doubt that there's very much at stake for the majority of us posting here so I don't see this as much of a big deal one way or another. I do get your point though.

Rader aka The Moon I think he was trying to shake all the dislikes and such ruining his credibility, I see he has the same number of likes and thanks, so that gets transfered when you change your name. We will all remember your handle The Moon.
The other guy, the defendant lol, I cant remember his name anymore. And hats off to him/her for sitting back and not being rude or insulting.

- I changed my username and photo because I didn't realize the extent of personal attacks that some people make here, including using my photo and private accounts elsewhere. Those ones sure have a lot of time on their hands.

- For those interested, the stats are in. So far one account deletion request from someone with zero names published, one inquiry on how to create an account at Brandroot and another inquiry asking if the buyer of Wuvo would be interested in another name. We are on track for a massive failure due to some of the users at NamePros. The future is bleak, your posts are daunting and we are hemorrhaging money left and right.

Again, I have news for those who think they have control over Brandroot's success (for some odd reason or another)... you don't. I'm enjoying the posts. Keep em coming.

Then why did you feel a need to edit your posts? It sure was not to ensure proper grammar or spelling.

Sorry @RWD I'm not one to not defend myself. In fact I would really love to talk to some of these people in person.

Anyway, I am completely done posting in this thread. I have over $10k to release to domainers who sold domains at Brandroot in the past few days. Good luck to all.

Well, please for love of god... let it go. Listen, I understand fully it was a shady deal to say the least...But, some of the original statements you made to this forum directly attacking its members was completely over the top. I know your upset & I would be also. We all hate to be taken advantage of in business, especially when its your passion. Best of luck & hopefully your business and you as a person will grow from this episode.

You mean like using a client's account information to launch an extensive personal attack against him on this site?

This brand will self-destruct in five seconds...

Seriously, putting aside namecalling, paranoia, humour, defamation, popcorn and legal detail, what about common sense.

The Namepro Nancies aren't the customers, they are the suppliers. Now if you know a supplier does not want to sell what do you say to a buyer? Do you just take their money and hope to force the supplier to hand over goods you do not control? Or do you refuse to sell but still talk to the supplier? Or do you just take a deposit and say I really need to check the supplier will come through and if not I will refund the deposit.

Plenty of businesses try to strongarm suppliers, but a domain is not a mass market item - it is unique. And promising something to a customer that you cannot deliver is suicide, enough of that and you are brandrooted.

Menses: Latin mēnsēs, plural of mēnsis month; from Proto-Indo-European *mḗh₁n̥s (“moon, month”)

Ex. "Did you know Namepros Nancy just started her menses?"

This is, I believe, the biggest domain community in the world. You shouldn't prance around all pompous because you survived ONE DAY without a serious issue. Time will tell. That said, good luck. Update us on this in 6 months.
