.TV changes...

I just got offer from Enom rep. to buy some premium domains (domain list I got has 54241 premium domains) for their premium price, but with standard reg fee in the future.

Some nice names in the list. I guess other got that offer too, but looks like nobody wants to talk about it while searching for gems :)

EDIT -- that offer expires today at mindnight, enom time :)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Fin there is never a hassle on the refund. They send an email either stating error this name was already registered. The name has been removed you have been credited.

The glitch has been removed from all sources. About 2 minutes ago. I was fiercly searching all available premiums and all were showing perfect at moniker and godaddy, then all of a sudden gone at moniker and taken at godaddy. :(

Looks like the train ride is over folks!

Pretty apparent that is was a glitch, I think generally registries take names back in that situation, but you never know.

I don't think having a recipt is going to help anyone personally. In the past I know lawyers have tried to get involved in this type of things, never went anywhere and probably covered by whatever T&C they have.

I wonder if GD have their asses covered for selling names, even if its taken by Verisign, there may be a lawsuit with GD directly for selling a name, updating the whois and then taking it back off u to pass it back to Verisign

This was not a glitch.

I just now confirmed that my reg's from earlier are mine thru Whois!

IMO it has to be a glitch, they just removed all premium names from the registry, searching says registry failed. They probably wanted to stop the registrations ASAP. Just becasue your name is on whois does not constitute a correctly functioning sales sytem, it just verifies that whois still works.

I disagree DA,

Because no one was able to verify any of their reg's today, til just now.

I was able to confirm with GODADDY whois three hours ago. Which whois registrar did you look up?

Godaddy or Verisign there would be no LEGAL ANYTHING. Every registrar in the world has in theire Terms and Conditions that for 30 days the name can be pulled for any reason and give you a refund.

Years ago other NP members had their domains taken back after a glitch in the system. Some had their names for days, and their name was reflected on the whois for days.

Just my experiences and opinion.

They litterly just removed every premium name even the crap ones from every registrar. That leads me to believe it was unintended.

That was the online.tv portfolio dropping where all the names were priced at $10. I don't think but not sure it was days, but it did show the WHOIS of the registrant.

It was not widespread like today's events. Not sure how they would approach so many domainers, that would be a quick way to upset loads of people. I also remember a few people drop catching names that were planned for repricing, they got taken back.

Depressing is right Millers.

Ok, well I will just wait patiently and hope that this time it is different.

Thx for the History DA, and Equity.

Here is one way of hoping its different this time.

Anyone who regged with GD - who knows - GD may not want to act on behalf of Verisign given their very public spat over .TV

Clutching at straws!!

Stop stressing, everyone!!!

The last time a 'glitch' happened we had one member who bought a couple of three-letter names at standard price. I took the gamble and bought one off this member (much to the chagrin of other members) and it is still happy (and renewed at standard fee) in my ownership.

This is not a glitch - this is an 'avalanche' - ski or die!!!

Im glad that one worked out for you :)

It was a glitch - the premium domains have been removed and you can't buy anything on any registrar at the moment.

Millers I don't think that's bad idea, makes sense Bob has an ego.

Jimbo totally different, those were names that dropped that had that pricing, totally different than a $1000 premium being available on Godaddy. You got lucky but not a glitch the name was just not repriced that happened alot under Verisign.

Agree, I am unable to reg any more names (names I am sure are not taken) from premium list at any registar.

However, its not left much...

Hopefully, there shouldn't be given that a strong % of people are gonna be coming from this sub forum.

And if they haven't learned over the past few years what is gold and what is mold - then there is no saving these people!!!
