Remember .cm?

How is that working out for ya all?

I think I shall stay away from further ccTLD landrushes.

As a typo I would expect .co to perform better than .cm.

Avoid at all costs. Unless you can grab 1 of the top 50 domains its gonna be a bloodbath.

.co is a very nice extension and the best of it, it comes with type in traffic.

the price the registry has set is also reasonable.

I guess . . . now we can have a bunch of Italian and Spanish name hacks ending in .CO.

I call dibs on cris.co.

I also believe the whole world is required to let Conan O'Brien have co.co.

.Co Landrush

Looks like .co has been opened, at least on GoDaddy...but at $300 a pop what chance do ordinary people really have?

Saw that in my GoDaddy email - great extension for the carbon monoxide industry... oh...and Columbia

1. a. This is the pre- phase. This is the phase that is meant to ensure trademark holders get theirs. MS, Apple, etc.

1. b. It's also meant to ensure ICANN and the registrars get a better chunk of the premium domains that are clearly worth more than $300.

2. I hope some day that trademark holders finally call bullshit on this. It's ridiculous to think a company like Microsoft should be pressured into forking over money every time they pull some crap like introducing a new TLD.

Why would anyone want to develop a .co, all of their traffic would go to the .com. This only makes sense for typo registrations (and newbies, of course ).

For a Colombian audience I suppose.

Typos

Typos only but not worth it at $300 unless you get something REALLY good.

most likely going to pre-order 1 domain I really want (will sleep over this first, though)

Just $299.99/yr does this mean year after year for landrush names, sorry probably very dumb question but seems not quite clear to me at GD...

Anyone brokering bets for when the hype starts/ends?? :D

Me too I think typo traffic should be a little higher then .cm

I like the idea of the dual application process pertaining to Sunrise, Landrush, & General Availability. But I don't like the idea of holding an auction to award the winner on .CO names in the case of two applicants on the same domain.

I guess the folks of meager means will never come out on top.

the .Co registry runs a business. By sending all domains with more than one landrush application to an auction is the best way to generate more revenue.

the renewal price will be around $25 - $30 per year from what I got as information.
