This is the official discussion thread for NamePros LIVE Domain Name Auctions

To find out what the NEXT live auction is:
http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/592240-next-live-auction-at-namepros.html

We're essentially going to have 4 different formats for the live auctions:

1. $1 start, No Reserve Auctions
- All lots start at $1 with no reserve
- Fee: 50np$ listing fee per lot

2. No Reserve Auctions
- Bidding starts at reserve price
- Fee: 250np$ per lot

3. Regular Live Auctions
- Multiformats:
-- $1 no reserve lots
-- Reserve Price lots
- All TLDs welcome
- Fee: 250np$ per lot

4. Premium Live Auctions
- High value domains or lots only
- Fee: 1000np$ per lot

Fees are subject to change without notice.
Please note: You can now have upto 4 lots in each auction. :tu:

Not really, but big buyers will have an event where they wont waste time with lower priced names and others they have no interest in. ;)

It will open on the 26th/27th for the 29th auction, normally a queue for any auction opens two days before the auction.

I'll be happy to answer any other questions you might have. Am also looking for people who can blog about this auction schedule or even carry a few ads for us on their domaining blogs / service sites. Please pm me or contact me at samit at namepros dot com to allow me to contact you directly.

The event is: No Reserve Live Auction

However, I see lots with Reserve Price Auction tag.. am I missing something ?

If I'm not mistaken: Auctions wil start at the reserves ie My auction (lot #11) has a $100 reserve. During the auction, it'll be opened with a starting bid of $100 or the highest prebid, whichever is greater.

Randy ...bro ... that ad is hellacious. I almost had to copy/paste/disect....
I could hardly read it. Some nice domains in there though. Good luck.

This is correct.

Offers can be made below the reserve, but at the live event we will be starting at the reserve prices or the current bid, whichever is higher.

You're right. It's been so long that I forgot the 'comments' are all bunched up without line breaks. It was edited by the mods. You can see it properly here:

http://www.namepros.com/domains-for-sale-auctions/592867-15-domains-many-possible-endusers-low.html

BTW Forgot to mention that reserve is a mere $100. I stand to lose a lotta money but my time grows more restrictive everyday. :(

Bit disappointed with the quality of names in these auctions. Many names are reg fee at best

Anyone feel the same?

Nope, some are, most aren't.

But isn't that normal?

I see names in TRAFFIC all the time which i wouldn't even spend reg fee on and they have a $300 min., at least here the prices are saner

Fair comment :)

But it would be good to include a "headline" domain such as an LLL.com to attract more people. There's nothing really on that list that jumps out. Maybe its just me
