Ads not matching content

Hi, my earnings for December were dismal. I just looked through my cached pages and found that most of my ads were for motor scooters and irrellevent to my content. This was for at least 2 weeks in December, maybe longer. No wonder my clicks went down. After 25th the ads were relevant again. Anyone else have a similar problem ?

A similar thing happened to me in November. Totally irrelevant ads were displayed, or no ads at all. I contacted them, and they said that such things happen sometimes... I guess they're testing things and stuff. Everything got back to normal after a week or so.

It happened to one of my friend in August or september may be .. He was getting irrelevant ads too for a month or so and google never replied him back too ..

Something similar happened to one of my niche sites too..All of my sudden my earnings dropped. That's why i prefer to use affiliate programs now - its much more reliable income and doesn't fluctuate like adsense earnings.

Usually in December earning decrease. But getting irrelevant ads can be happen due to soo many reasons. Mainly depending on the niche. Like some advertisers wouldn't advertise in holidays and weekends.

same thing happened to me....and google sent me an email saying i was cloaking??...and that my site has been de-listed???....i have not done anything to site in over 5 months......content is all original, unique and relevant...and now this??

not sure what to do....

UPDATE. Jan 2nd. Every single site back to targeted ads and number of impressions gradually rising. Wonder if I lost much revenue in that three weeks.

Contrary to what happened to my earnings, December was my biggest with about 3% decline last January...
