Search Results a big factor

I think it is a factor, not sure how to explain it though. But if your Google search shows websites with similar domain addresses and paid adverts this can only be a good thing. Maybe someone with more experience can add a few comments on this.

Would you register a domain that had no search results in Google. IE Nobody looking for that item? Probably not, unless you are registering a brandable domain, which most of the time is a huge gamble.
