I have a few names that I am simply interested in getting rid of. Prices for these would range from $XX, $XXX, and $X,XXX.

I've heard good things about Sedo auctions but I heard that there's a minimum so it wouldn't be a good choice for $XX-$XXX names.

GoDaddy seems fair with a 10% commission--but the premium listing is absurdly high with 30% commission.

Has anyone had luck with these and swears to a certain site?

Thanks so much for your input.

I have had the best luck (offers and sales) with GoDaddy since I started using them in February of this year. They are my best selling platform, by far. It's the number of eyeballs they have.

stub did you ever do the 7 day auction style selling? If so did you have better luck with a regular or premium listing..?

I'm trying to figure out if paying 20% more than a regular listing is worth it in the long run. I'm totally fine paying my dues if it gets more more cash in the end.

Help is appreciated!

I have never used their premium listings. But it's all about eyeballs. The people who have used it, seem to recommend it. Of course you get targeted sales. You just add the 30% to your sales prices anyway.

I prefer to use the 90 day listings because they automatically renew, unlike the 7 day listings. It would be a pain for me to have to do that. I haven't noticed any perceptible benefit when I have used the 7 day listings.

Right. See, I've had most of my names up for sale for the 90 days.. a lot have thousands of views and even some offers. But I figured I'd just do a final auction with little or no reserve--whatever the top bid is what I'd sell for. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it to do a regular listing, a premium listing, or even pay for extra visibility.. Anybody!?

You need a fixed price for a premium listing. So that's out. Personally I don't care for paying for additional visibility. But you do see a lot of bold names at the top of the auctions, so it might have some merit. So I would use the regular listings.

But it sounds like you are getting a bit frustrated with selling on GoDaddy. So you could remove all your auctions and add them back as 7 day auctions, and sell them to the highest bidder. 7 days later you'll have no more frustrations :)

Would you care to PM me the list of domains you are selling?
