They have 3 packages, about $50, $100, $150 a month. Looks like that have something like LeadRefs used to have, end user emails. They have a 7 day free trial coupon - FREE7. Right now I'm using Freshdrop, going to give this one a try as well.

Has anybody else tried it out yet?

I signed up for the Free 7 day trial...

My overall rating: 3 out of 10

Pros:
fast and easy to understand interface, this is a major plus when scanning though thousands and thousands of domains

Cons:

-When I signed up with the free trial, they force you to input your creditcard. I HATE THIS.

-Then upon entering everything CORRECT, it said that there was an error. There was was NO confirmation that the free trial had started, or if they had charged me, or if they were going to charge me. I only recived a confirmation stating that I signed up for dropping.com.

-There was no notification email that the trial was begining or ending for that matter...

- I canceled my account and they still CHARGED ME $49.99, looks like I am going to have to dispute the charges with my bank... Fun.

-I submitted a support ticket 4 days ago... I have yet to receive a single follow up message.

-The worst thing: THE AGES ARE INACCURATE. I signed up to monitor aged expiring names, 99.9% of the .TV domains listed show an age of ZERO.

-Some of the search filters DO NOT function correct.

-Lets be honest this service is EXPENSIVE!

Freshdrop.net any good? How much is it a month?

Just in case anyone is interested, their system does work very nicely for two word .net domains. I found alot of investment grade domains with little competition.

I did like some of the metrics and filters that they incorporate, its really easy to find old domains that have high cpc, search volume, and potential amount of endusers. While very useful, they only worked on the main TLDs.

My only problem (besides the lack of service) was that it completely falls flat for .TV domains, which was the whole reason I signed up in the first place.

It's $20 a month now. Right now, I'm actually using both of them. I've been using Freshdrop for awhile and Dropping.com I'm paying at the $100 level.

They both basically get me to the domains I'm looking for/think are good. Both have lots of metrics.

What I like about dropping.com besides getting to the good domains quickly:

lead generator for endusers, it's decent

watchlist is nice/setup nicely

i like the live drop, I've put some pending deletes in there (watchlist) and you can have a sound go off when it drops and it's pretty accurate. I was busy doing something else, heard the sound, it was available and I got the domain.

Some minor things:

With dropping.com the window is small and only 8 domains appear at a time, so lots of scrolling. Freshdrop about 22.

With dropping.com it only goes about 2 days/48 hours out for anything. With Freshdrop it can go over a month if the places have it available. So I can look more into the future with Freshdrop. As an example using Snapnames Expiring. Dropping.com - 48 hrs. Freshdrop about 34 days.

Service, both are pretty good, get back to me quickly/respond to tickets. Mostly.

So, I would try them out and maybe other tools. And find one you think brings you the most value, gets you to what you want quickly.

Thanks for the info jb, I will probably get the service for a year once I make another sale.

Or you can just try it for a month and see how you like it. I did the 7 day free trial but to get a really good feel for it, I felt I should try at least a month. Then you can always just cancel the subscription from the interface if you don't like it. Right now, I'm liking it and probably will stick with it. I've got it all setup with the filters and profiles and such, tried out all the metrics, found out the ones I like etc. And now, after using it for awhile, I'm used to the interface, so it's pretty quick for me.

Nope, definately charged my account. It was initially a hold, now its actually debited from my account. I'm sure things will get sorted out. But its a pain in the neck.

Oh and by the way, the only way I know they even charged me is because I have been watching my bank account.

They did not even send me a receipt, or email saying thanks for your payment...Thanks for your subscription.

Not even an email when I canceled my account!

Sorry for dragging this back up but I am curious if there is any other feedback about Dropping.com?

Dropping.com actually allows you to search domains 79+days in the future. The 24/48hrs is just an option you can choose, but if you want to see what is dropping/auctioning farther down in the future you have to go to feeds/ advanced setup-range /and click the option "all domains".

I just tried it with Snap Exclusive, it just went 4d 6h - 4 days, 6 hours out.

Namejet was better using that method, went out 32-34 days.

I don't think Snapnames ever publishes their pre-releases more than 5 days in advance so that's a Snapnames limitation, not a limitation of dropping.com.

Nope. At Freshdrop they go 33 days out with Snap. Right now there are 255,028 names and that's with my filters applied, no numbers, no dashes, .com only etc.

Using the same filters at Dropping.com with Snap and picking all domains, there are 52,629 names.

I stand corrected. :)

VERY good service IMO. I did eventually cancel but only because I was not buying much anymore (or wanted to stop buying and using the tool gets habitual), otherwise, for buyers, definitely worth while have access to the tool. Again, IMO based on my needs. I was able to find and catch a lot of good names with the tool. Used it for about a year.
