Hi,
I bought 12 domains and didn't end up doing anything with them. They expire soon and I want to know if they are worth renewing and possibly developing into WordPress based affiliate sites. They are as follows:

bed--bugs.com
book--stores.com
free--ecards.com
maternity--clothes.com
new--orleans.com
pregnancy--calculator.com
resume--templates.com
used--books.com
wedding--invitations.com
card--credit.com
insurance--car.com
quotes--insurance.com

Honestly, I bought them before I knew any better, I am pretty new to all of this. Are domains with multiple hyphens -- basically worthless? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Google treat, for example: carwax.com and car--wax.com the same way ? Nonetheless, the impression that I have gotten when reading about registering domains with even one let alone two or more hyphens has not been overwhelmingly positive. I would really appreciate any information and opinions regarding the potential value of these domains.

Thank you,
Jim :)

Write them off. Don't spend another second of your time doing anything with them.

I agree with the others. Let them drop.

(Have you ever in your life visited a website with a double hyphen? )

You can have two hyphens, as long as there's a word between them. Even in that case, you will mostly not be able to sell the name, even with great keywords.
Confine your domains to forms that are found in the English language (or whatever language you are targeting). Side-by-side hyphens aren't used anywhere in the world as far as I know.

Hi,
Thank you all for your time and thoughtful replies.
Come to think of it RazorNF, I have never visited a domain with a double hyphen.:guilty:
I will be letting them all lapse, and sticking to non-hyphenated domains from now on.
(I hear ya', The New Guy, Domainace, gilescoley and -EM-) :)
Mhdoct, luckily I only paid community college tution rates, as I had some great GoDaddy coupons I used to register them.:$:
Thanks again,
Jim
