sales Telepathy Inc Sells NTW.com - Another Six-Figure Sale?

NameSilo
Nat Cohen's @Telepathy Inc owns a vast portfolio of high-value domain names including several two-letter .COM's and hundreds of three-letter .COM's. In 2017, Telepathy sold several three-letter .COM's including WMN.com for $200,000 and DCC.com for $198,000. The company also sold OFO.com in a seven-figure deal brokered by George Hong (@GUTA).

It looks like 2018 has started well for Telepathy as the company seems to have sold another three-letter .COM, this time it's NTW.com. Whilst NTW may not be an obvious acronym, TBC Corporation of Florida showed enough interest to likely pay a large sum for the name.

That interest likely stemmed from a recently announced mega-deal. Sumitomo, the owner of TBC Corporation, agreed to a joint venture with Michelin at the beginning of 2018.

This joint venture sees Michelin paying Sumitomo a total of $630 million to become a 50/50 partner in a tyre wholesale distribution called NTW (National Tyre Warehouse). The combined venture will create a distribution network that is the second-largest in terms of market share.

Sumitomo's TBC Corporation registered GoNTW.com in 2015 for its existing National Tyre Warehouse brand. This joint-venture with fellow tyre giant Michelin may have prompted a move to acquire the shorter NTW.com from Telepathy.

Based on the previous three-letter .COM sales involving Telepathy, it is likely that this sold for a six-figure fee.

According to DNJournal, the largest three-letter .COM sale of 2018 to date is that of DXB.com for $220,000. If Telepathy's sales of WMN.com and DCC.com are anything to go by, NTW.com may have sold for a similar fee to DXB.com.

No chance. There were $9,000 LLL sales in late 2017. No way the floor increases by 900%.

Telepathy owns “hundreds” of LLL?

Seems like I only see a few Telepathy LLL sales per year.

I don't think they actively publicize all their sales. But they will wait and hold out for the right offer. So it's possible they are selling just a few every year. There is no hurry.

Five-figure LLL sales probably outnumbered six-plus number LLL sales in 2017 by five or ten to one, but you’re stridently predicting a 900% increase in the LLL floor this year?
