domains New Names: FishStick.com, DevelopmentTools.com, 98.uk, and more

NameSilo
Welcome to the first edition of New Names in 2016. This series shows you the recent purchases of other domain name investors to give you insight and inspiration for your own acquisitions.

This week we look at purchases that NamePros members have made recently. These domains include FishStick.com, MoralSupport.com, and DevelopmentTools.com from Shane Bellone of DNPages.com; 98.uk from Alessandro; WealthDiary.com from Krishna of Domain Veda; and more.

Below are this week's names with comments from their respective owners.

FishStick.com

@Shane Bellone: I saw this domain and instantly liked it. There is no way you'd forget a company named FishStick, nor is there a way to misspell it. In my opinion, those two traits coupled make for a great brandable.

MoralSupport.com

@Shane Bellone: This is another one I instantly fell in love with. It's a well-known phrase, easy to remember, and easy to spell. While I don't think this is a pure brandable, it could be used for a variety of purposes ranging from fail sites to actual support sites.

DevelopmentTools.com

@Shane Bellone: This one is a killer. There are hundreds of websites using this keyword combination. The sectors range from self-improvement to the tech sector. Someone is bound to pay up for this name.

WealthDiary.com

@nvdomains: I am planning to start a blog and share my investment decisions (both stocks and domains), mistakes, and lessons learnt. Of course, some famous people are already sharing their thoughts on Wealthdiaries.com.

Gamble.xyz

@TradeMeDomains.com: This will have a decent ROI selling to the Asian market for a casino or online betting website. I will hold this name 7+ years and sell it in a combined package with MakeLucky.com as they fit well together. Gamble.xyz is also a perfect short brandable in my opinion.

98.uk and 98.co.uk

@donnied79: I couldn't resist since they are NN .ccTLD, and .uk (.co.uk) is one of the best ccTLD's in the world. I usually stick with 1-2 keyword domains but I really like this pair and preferred to invest part of the USA.tv sale in 1 great domain rather than in 5 good domains.

Nice names all around. Assuming you all bought on the lower end you will make a good ROI with names like these.

Great points by Shane on FishStick. Two syllables, nine letters, easy to remember and spell. I also think the STICK portion of the name provides a bridge from the food industry to the tech industry where most startups occur. I think he made a great selection. Apple, Mango and BlueFish are already being used a brands for tech and fashion companies. I'm curious to see how the new buyer will apply it to their market niche.
