I hold a lot of pairs in - .com and .in, .com for the Global audience, and .in for the World's most populated country that uses English as their primary language in business. But primary purpose of keeping such pairs for me is Development.

All the talk of the Uniregistry deal reminded me of an interview I had read with Frank Schilling. He related in the interview that in the past he had a set of 10 similar building material names (BuildingProduct, BuildingProducts, BuildingMaterials, etc.). He was negotiating with a business and thought they had agreed to $10k for the set of 10 names. When the wire came in it was $100k as they thought the deal was $10k per name! I hope any of us might be so fortunate in selling related names! Here is a link to the full interview from a few years ago on NamePros Blog.

The price of the domain influences a lot when hiring the service in my case, one of the websites I manage ends in .plus and is one of the most popular in my list. It also influences the theme you have, it is about movies and series.

Thank you very much for this article!

I totally agree here in Europe, the national extension is a must.
I am calling such pairing "bundles", because there can easily be more then two or even unpair number of domains.
    Here is a recent example:

Welp, after that "domain seller wants double payment" fiasco, DomainLiquidate.com now redirects to a NameCheap affiliate link 👇
    Code:
    https://www.namecheap.com/domains/domain-name-search/?utm_source=CJ&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=100270827&ref=cj&affnetwork=cj&cjevent=0cf9c14f747711eb832402190a1c0e0c
    ... SMH.
