opinion Exclusive: XA.com Sold For $850,000

Spaceship Spaceship
Earlier in the week, I wrote about XA.com's probable sale, and it can now be confirmed thanks to James Booth (@BoothDomains).

The new owner of XA.com is Kyar Kyin Yang of the Philippines, and as James Booth is currently based in the Philippines, he spoke to Mr Yang about the domain name. In a conversation that was completed via text, the price was confirmed as $850,000 USD.

This makes XA.com the 3rd largest domain sale of the year (of which the public has knowledge), and the second largest public LL.com sale behind ReviMedia's acquisition of PX.com for $1 million from MediaOptions.com. Last week, I conducted an interview the ReviMedia's CEO regarding his acquisition of PX.com. If you haven't already seen it, then it's definitely worth a read.

I don't know whether this will end up in DNJournal.com's list of recently sold domain names, as proof (such as Escrow screenshots) would have to be approved and verified by Ron Jackson. If Ron is reading this, feel free to contact me, and I'll attempt to connect you with the new owner in order to provide proof of purchase.

XA.com looks to have been sold by a Vincent Cheng - whose address is listed as being in Singapore, but according to @BoothDomains, this information isn't accurate. This investor also sold QM.com recently.

Congratulations to both buyer and seller on another high value LL.com sale.

just curious who's this Mr. Yang from the Philippines? Domain investor, entrepreneur? Any other info?

@domainswithtrafik from my knowledge and what I gather this is a spontaneous purchase. I am not sure if he has plans to develop but I did ask if he is looking to sell to which his answer was ''not at the moment''. So likely just a big investment.
