sales Did Bryn Mawr Trust Pay $152,000 for BMT.com?

Spaceship Spaceship
Domain investor George Kirikos (@GeorgeK) has uncovered yet another high value domain sale, thanks to his research into a company's recent SEC filing. After reading Bryn Mawr's quarterly filing, George noticed that the company had recently paid $152,000 for an unspecified domain name, as listed on page six of the report.

Research from George shows that the domain name that Bryn Mawr Trust acquired is likely to be BMT.com, a three letter domain that was owned by Future Media Architects until earlier this year. According to DomainIQ, the domain moved into the possession of Bryn Mawr Trust around the end of February 2017.

Future Media Architects (FMA) owns a portfolio full of high value domains including many two and three letter .COM's. Some of the company's best domains include AI.com, FM.com and Media.com. Recently, FMA have been involved in several sales of one-word .COM's such as Impact.com, Squeeze.com and Pour.com.

The company that acquired BMT.com, Bryn Mawr Trust, is a NASDAQ-listed financial company based in Pennsylvania, who currently own and operate the BMTC.com domain name, with their latest purchase BMT.com failing to resolve at the time of writing.

I've sent a message to Future Media Architects' owner Thunayan Al-Ghani in an effort to verify the sale. If it can be verified, the sale of BMT.com would rank as the second highest publicly disclosed three-letter .COM sale of 2017, behind the $200,000 sale of LEV.com and ahead of the $141,960 sale of MNG.com.

Awesome sale. Thanks for sharing.
I thought FMA was adamant that they'll "never" sell any of their domains (read that a couple of years ago). I guess everything has a price, and what you feel today may not be what you'll feel tomorrow.

I am surprised they didn't already own it.

Officially FMA doesn't sell domains, other players have the same policy (ie M Stenzel). But there are exceptions to the rule :)
