information Detected: A Cleveland Coffee Shop Buys Pour.com; Finland.com Changes Hands…

NameSilo
In this edition of Detected Domains, we take a look at several four figure sales that @Mike Mann has posted recently, and we document two one-word .COM domain names that Future Media Architects have just sold. Elsewhere, is a deal in the works for @Rick Schwartz's Property.com domain name?

HolyCow.com left Escrow.com’s holding account earlier this year after being there since July 2016. The domain, which was once featured on a DomainSherpa show, is now redirecting to HolyCow.ch, a gourmet burger company in Switzerland.

While HolyCow.com left Escrow.com, Stills.com entered their holding account recently. The domain doesn’t resolve yet, but it’s possible the name was acquired by Stills, a UK based marketing agency using Stills.co.uk.

Future Media Architects sold the domain Pour.com. The domain moved into the possession of a law firm before going under privacy protection. Pour.com currently redirects to PourCleveland.com, a coffee shop in Cleveland owned by former attorney Charlie Eisenstat.

Future Media Architects also sold Impact.com to Impact Radius, a Santa Barbara based digital marketing company.

078.com looks to have sold in China with the name moving to brokerage company 62.com’s escrow account.

@Frank.Schilling bought AudioStore.com at NameJet recently and also sold ChristianFlags.com. The domain had an Afternic “Buy Now” price of $24,000 and looks to have been acquired on a lease-to-own basis.

Finland.com looks to have been sold at some point over the last few months. Finland.com is now forwarding to Finland.fi, a website that’s published by the Finland Promotion Board for Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

@Rick Schwartz looks to be on the verge of selling Property.com. Rick tweeted about a deal for Property.com recently and on his website under Latest Opportunities, Property.com is listed with “Deal Pending” written next to it.

Shane Cultra (@Domain Shane) acquired the four-letter domain pdmc.com.

@Telepathy Inc may have sold AFVC.com as the domain has moved to privacy protection.

@Mike Mann sold a couple of domains, as announced on Twitter. These include EatSafe.org for $5,000, NightPulse.com for $9,888 and MountainElectronics.com for $8,000.

Your attachment did not work. But I wonder what kind of ROI a coffee shop would have at a local shop like that?

It doesn't sound like a mom-an-pop move for a typical 'local' coffee shop I agree.

Probably acquired the domain for expansion, branding... etc.

Also remember that the buyer is a lawyer who has been successful enough to afford the domain. If it was a reasonable price he can use it for business then sell it for an obscene price down the road.

Thanks for the news James.

That is interesting, looks like they only have that one shop, that's doing great. Maybe they have future plans to expand to other cities or sell online.

Was just in there today grabbing links. An affiliate network that doesn't like to be called an affiliate network, started by some of the former founders of Commission Junction.

I was thinking if they "poured" all the money into "pour.com", they must have some big plans because a local shop would normally be *selling* such a domain instead of buying one. I would like to see in the future how they end up proceeding to do that after the money is invested in the domain name. Maybe they are going to franchise the business, and then sell it, or something like that.

Re: pour.com

Lawyer + coffee shop ownership + brandable name = franchises soon available

@James Iles thanks for sharing once again

@Mr. Deleted. They may have plan to sell dry coffee online worldwide and there are many other things they could venture into. besides the local shop. But definitely, they must have a bigger plan beyond what they presently doing.

I've been to that shop a few times. It's got franchise written all over it. A very popular spot and the locals in Cleveland love it.
