the only way it would hit domains is because by the time it gets to domain pricing its because the registrar company's ceos start paying too much for their groceries and gas, so they find where they can make up for it. Who, company to consumer. ty.

This article is focused on direct hit on domain names. That's the least of the problem.

Domain inveestors should be more concerned about the indirect, and quicker, hits to domain names. Namely the fact that tariffs would be hitting countries and economic activities could contract.

For instance, @Bob Hawkes reported a drop in new business registration in the US.

Trump's tariff war is creating a volatile environment that's not conducive to business.

Plus, there are rumours that the tariff war could incite a global recession. That's another indirect hit that'll not be good for domain names.

Finally, there is the issue of companies and individuals that would not want to deal with American companies. Domain names listed on GoDaddy/Afternic may get second-hand flacks as a result of the boycott.

One way to deal with that is to start listing on Sedo.

I never knew that. I assumed they ran all their business operations exclusively from Germany.

I thought they just had partnerships with registrars in US for their MLS stuff.

Regardless, it's still a good idea to list there.

It's pretty vague, actually. For certain transactions they're using the German GmbH entity, for others their US LLC entity.

“Site” means an international collection of URLs that are owned or operated by Sedo GmbH, Germany or Sedo LLC, USA or one of its subsidiaries.
