This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Good work Federer :)

What does the VK mean?

vklife.exe is the internet browser optimizer for windows internet explorer.

All other TLD's in that name are taken so wonder how Federer managed to buy this so cheap and why those who bought it from him did not go to where Federer bought this from in the first place?!

Federer did in fact register it just 6 days ago so he did get it on a drop, the buyer and the other domain owners just simply missed out.

Timing is everything :)

Take on it

A simple history shows the previous owner did not have it "listed for sale". This happens a lot of the time. A potential buyer loses out on the backorder and really wants the domain. In my view it is always better to backorder medium quality domains or domains with alot of potential and avoid the drop list as 90 percent of the time multiple Domainers or end users will also backorder quality domains too or domains with potential.Guess what? when they lose out they will come knocking on your door.
The drops are 95 percent full of junk and on a few occasions you might find some crust. Backorder quality names and you will be surprised how long it takes you to flip. This might not also be the case for everyone. I always
check the history on archive.org for every domain I backorder if the domain has snapshots of a site on it
and has never been listed for sale usually it is a good indicator for me personally, But if I see anything
like a sales page or Sedo this usually tells me the previous owner had a hard time selling it and has either
given up or suddenly passed away or something. Just my opinion.
Don't be surprised he flipped it so quick.

What do you mean by this ibidu

Meaning, you applied the correct way of putting English words together as well i.e. well chosen words, as opposed to some domain names we see everyday which are upside down English :)

Really well done to you on creating those names and flipping them at excellent ROI.

@LungioMike

If you registered these domains just few days back I think you can not transfer them upto 2 months.
How do you deal with that part?

thanks,

Sid

I've sold lots of domains the same day or week with Godaddy. If you have an account with them you can transfer between accounts whenever you want.

If the person doesn't have an account at Godaddy I explain that it's easy and free to setup.
