Desktop WHOIS Tool?

I've use several in the past, but none are still available/working.

I use whois.domaintools.com in the browser. With free registration you can make a lot of searches.

What kind of information are you interested in retrieving from whois? Are you just checking for domain availability, or do you need more than that?
