LLLL.net COUNTDOWN

This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

George, is it also technically possible to add if these names are pronounceable or not?
Only by hand after testing with TextAloud or any similar program (Babylon,...)

Some % of pronounceability could be added imho.
Something like this:

VCVC
CVCV

Are typically more pronounceable, off course depends on letters, thus the %

Asap gets 100%
Aqop gets 50%
Cola gets 100%
Qyxi gets let's say 70%

Then we have repeating letters:

LOLL gets 95%
Kkex gets 90%
Goog gets 90%

Then h

Lhen can get 80%

And we have many many other good examples

Names like rtzx get 0%

I guess we can develop some idea around this and bug glabnet to script it. :)

No, it can be pronounced like eR Tee Zet iX. :sold:

Just as an IMHO, pronouncability has a lot more to do with branding. Branding has to do with .com (mainly).

However on another note (and I know I may write the same things again), I see the only hope of LLLL.net investors is more players joining the game. People here even express this desire and take this into calculation maybe as the first source of potential buyer.

I still think there is no real market for LLLL.net's and there is a false one that does not fill in any real need, in fact a market is artificially created. But do feel free to not agree with me.

That's exactly what I too used to think about LLLL.net's till I analyzed the whole thing a little more closely.

I totally agree with you about the brandability offered by only .com's but the same old arguments of an end-user's budget come to the surface again.

It is certainly not a artificial market, in fact it is as real as it's .com counterpart :p
Maybe, anti-premium and low-quality 4L.net's don't have a future but the higher-end names surely have a bright future ahead.

I think, that this super-difficult problem interests only those, who does not speak in English.
Whether it is still interesting to know are pronounceable and how this best domains: XQJZ, ZQXZ, WQKX, KWQJ... in the Chinese or other languages?

The problem with the Chinese market (.com included) is that Chinese companies do not put a lot of money into their online presence. They do not have global brands, and do not pay very much for a domain name or for advertisement (yet?). It is a question if they will.

Till that time, I see even low quality LLLL.com's as a high risk investment.

You have thought up it or somewhere have read?

I do not reproduce copyrighted material .. it is IMHO like everything I write. You may disagree with me, but Asian market is still a big question. It may play out well or not ...

Also let's not forget (not particulary related to .net) that many companies prefer their own cctld's. A Swedish company that does business in Sweden would prefer .se over .com or .net.

I suggest you to create a new thread and there to frighten beginners domainers. This flood is not entered in the given thread in any way. :D

So this thread is invited only for LLLL.net lovers? To those that agree that LLLL.net is the best investment in domaining? Are you for real? This is a forum, where people who have a common interest exchange views.

From this post, I can see that your interest is just more people into the LLLL.net game, and you actually do not want to exchange ideas.

Or do I miss something?

I can't quite agree with Alex this time, specially after the latest LLLL.net sale reports.
I know it's not much, but Andrei sold 4 LLLL.net's recently for around $500 each, and there are many other examples.

Quality LLLL.nets will :imho: reach $30-$40 by the end of the year (reseller price of course).

You can't buy any below $12 these days, which means 100% in 1 month or less, and I can only predict it going up.
As for lower quality names... well, when they're all gone (a couple of years from now) they'll be worth something, though not much.

Certainly I wish to involve as much as possible people in this game! They to me then thanks will tell (if will remember). Besides I have written two programs for this bubble and one of them successfully selling, and the second I distribute free of charge (more than 1200 users from the beginning of this year)
Otherwise to live not interestingly. :great:

All goes down to mathematics. If you invest in let's say 100 LLLL.net's, and you can expect an end user sale of $600 or higher in a year, than you are ok. You will get some small $ out of parking too. Renewal costs: $595 .. you are in profit.

If not, than founding a strategy on latecomers is not healthy... it may turn out well in the end .. but it is not a sign of a healthy market.

Btw, congrats to Andrei.

Yes, you're right Alex, but I do other maths here also.

100*6 is a $600 investment, even with 1 renewal it's more or less a $1200 investment.

If those quad premiums are worth $15 each in 2 years you're on a $300 profit...

At $50 each you're on a $3800 profit...

•••
HI

They will go up in value but much slower the any LLLL.com has... So it all depends on if you can afford to hold your names and renew them when the time comes.

For me he I buy a good LLLL.net for $6 and I can double it (sell) for $12 in the first 6 months then I am happy.. I just re-invest in better names.. and just keep doing this.

Thanks
Tom Dahne

Exactly, but by no means I expect these to stay under $30 in 2 years... maybe I'm wrong, but we can easily reach $100 reseller price for quad premiums with nice acronyms till the end of 2009, probably because all will be regged by then, or nearby it.

Thanks George, got Rasq.net this time. Also Otiz.net and Sylu.net, have to grab some of them CVCV :)

There are currently 210,678 LLLL.nets available (as at the 27th March 2008). Hence there's now only 46.10% of the total 456,976 LLLL.nets available.

Run a search for available ones!

I know I was recently (i.e. a week ago) reporting 209,xxx available - however I must have missed out a few dropped domains or something. :)
