It appears the domain industry has been starting to take notice of the .us namespace over the past year, read DnJournal.com .us growth and Namepros with even greater expectations for the year to come.

So I thought it would be a good idea to ask everyone to show us your .us domain names. You can post your favorites or your entire portfolio.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
DNJournal reports domain name sales only. No business or website sales.
And being on Sedo and also considering that the domain has no website then it was a domain name only sale.

It dropped one week ago, and went to Snapnames for a minute, then Godaddy auction. Hmmm. I don't understand the Snapnames angle, but it ended up at Godaddy. Auction there started a week ago, and ended this morning.

Unfortunately even good LLL.us are next to worthless :(

So true. Take advantage of it. Buy and hang on. When all the new gTLD confusion, hype, and baloney comes to a head, when one or more registries starts competing for business via substantial media campaigns, .us stands to become important above many of the others, perhaps all of them. For gambling on domains, .us is the best gamble right now. Country codes seem to be a much safer bet than any of the other crap out there other than .com. Every day I hear radio advertising for companies using .us. The latest is AMAC.us.

I bought some good .us back in 2005. But now I know waiting one decade more will not change a thing. I think .us has missed the boat. US exceptionalism :(

One valid view, for sure. However, I don't see many for sale, anywhere. A few mediocre LLL.us dropped recently, and only occasionally now do I see any for sale here or at DNF. So while the market value is low, the supply of available good .us names at low prices is also low. The days of .us name holders dumping their LLL.us and good names cheap seem to be behind us.

People do not understand DISCUSSION!
And think this is the place to buy, sell and trade domains!
It is NOT!

I'm letting all of mine drop, and with Verisign .net going up 10%, they will be soon to follow. As Rick said long ago, .com is king, with a few really premium exceptions.

I sold a 3 letter .US to an end user for $1k this week. I bought it on GoDaddy when they were dropping loads of .US last month. It paid for all my other .US purchases at that time.

Congrats stub. I have join on those auctions too. I remember Rex.us sold for some XXX figure and some nice LLL and NNN sold for low XX. I caught some too. But didn't invest much on it as my past experience is not good with .us , Hope it will go on proper direction soon.

I bought around 40 of these .us domains which included 4 LLL, one now sold. So have broken even on my purchases. But I've already identified some which I will drop next year. The big question is why were there so many good original registrations dropped? The probable answer to that doesn't really justify picking these domains up :( My experience with selling .us domains has been about the same as yours. But I was tempted by some of the domains I captured and lost.

I would add that my negotiation for the all premium LLL.US I sold was tough. I named my price after the initial offer, and had to stick to it through several rounds of negotiations where they were threatening to walk away, before they agreed to my price. The price was set at 2/3rds of the Estibot value, largely because of past experiences with .us sales. His original offer started at $20 from some valuation service I'd never heard of.
