.xxx

Hello
I'm a bit confused. Either i've missed some important .xxx news, or i have some spyware or something.

anything.xxx redirects to something like http://eps.new.search.new.net/apps/e...sfdsadfsdf.xxx

example.xxx

Is it just me?

You must have the new.net plugin installed on your computer which is spyware. Run an anti-adware/spyware program, that will get rid of it.

egold is an unknown quantity at this point

deadmoon -

as everyone else mentioned, .xxx is a no-go and it does sound like you've got some spyware/adware on your computer. since no one recommended a specific program to deal with it, i thought i'd mention that microsoft has a free antispyware utility called Windows Defender that you can download (assuming you're using Windows, which is likely since you've got some spyware). here's the URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx

hope that helps!!

Cheers for the help.
I already checked it for spyware/virus's before posting (Sorry, didn't say)
I just did some research, from Wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.xxx
"As of 2005, there is an alternative implementation of .xxx by New.net, a private domain registration service unaffiliated with ICANN, via an alternative DNS root. Its future - including that of domain names previously registered with New.net - is uncertain in the wake of the ICANN-sanctioned TLD announcement."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New.net
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=242458
"Several Internet Service Providers, such as Earthlink are compatible with New.net domains without any software being installed on the user's computer.[1]"

So i guess it is just that. Even though I am not with Earthlink.
Cheers anyway
