Intro from a new NamePro...

Everybody,

I am a new domainer on the block. I have been holding my own brand domain since 2005, but started active domaining around a year back.

I now own 36 names.

I ran into this forum while looking on Google for something related to Estibot valuation tool. After I hook on to a name, I always cross check with Estibot to get a statistical view of the keyword(s), before registering the name. I also check a post registration valuation from Estibot and NameBoy.com. My portfolio of 24 com, 2 net, 2 org, 2 biz and 6 info is valued at $22K by Estibot and $165K by NameBoy and I guess the market value would be somewhere between those two.

I look forward to sharing information and gaining a lot from all of you NamePros.

estibot is a good one stop tool but don't depend fully on it for appraisals consult people as well.

Yes, I agree that such valuations are not to be taken seriously. As I mentioned elsewhere, automated valuations that depend on web statistics (SQ - Statistical Quotient) have a weightage of 1/3 in my opinion. The other 2 being EQ and IQ! (Emotional and Intelligence Quotient).

36 domains is very cool. I only have 9 at the moment but I don't think I'll be expanding my portfolio anytime soon. Renewals are pretty expensive. great to have you on board

I'm glad to see that you take Estibot valuations with a pinch of salt. You can always head over to Domain Appraisals for some human valuations.
