I just moved from the Northeast (U.S.) to the San Francisco bay area, and am selling myself as a web developer. Few connections, fragmented experience, and high competition.

It's hard to be a creative risk-taker when those around you are trying to work 9-5 for "The Man".

I'm looking for community here. Am I in the right place?
