Local Charity Needs a Good Free Thumbnailer

Hello,

I need to recomend a free, easy to use thumbnailer. I'm not super tech savy, but the one I have would work. But I don't remember where I got it. There is no help file, and no author / version info. It is simply called "Thumbnailer". I simply open it, apply it to a file filled with jpg's and it creates a list of thumbnails and places them vertically on a HTML page. This I think would be ideal.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/website-development/99445-local-charity-needs-good-free-thumbnailer.html
.
Here's the situation:

A local charity runs a thrift store, and is trying to to promote their store. I was speaking with the store's manager and told them they should start a web page to offer there bulk and large ticket items online. They have some very interesting items brand new, in pallets etc. My impresion is larger businesses could give them A LOT of business, but won't go traveling to thrift stores looking. They need to get these bulk items on the internet.

I see a potential problem with there constant need to update inventory photos. I don't know if any of the regular volunteers are tech savy.

Thanks!
John

Hi!

I would reccomend the use of a PHP script like Coppermine (free). You could pay (or find somebody) for somebody to instally it on your server. After that, you can just login, browse for a picture, add captions/descriptons, and click upload! The image will be added to one of your many albulms. It's as easy as adding an attachment to a email.
If you don't already have a website, you could install a CMS like Xoops, which comes with many themes. You can add/remove articles and is very easy to use. You can easily intergrate some photo gallery modification to it.
