What do you recommend I do with this premium domain name?

I'm currently working on developing Ski.net an obviously very premium domain name. I have several ideas but I'm interested to see what you think would be best.

I'll share mine after I see some of yours

Thanks in advance for help!

Truly a great name I love how it sounds like "SkyNet" hehe Terminator deal

As far as development I'd say ski resorts/ ski products ecommerce website would be ideal!

Good luck with that great domain name!

I would purchase edirectory software or have someone make a clone of it.

Have every ski related category you can think of:
Resorts
Equipment
Lessons
Accommodations near resorts
Ski Vacation packages
etc etc
Collect from directory listing fees

Have event listings, classified ads, and article submiisions(from users)
Charge$$ orOffer for Free - It doesn't really matter. Let users populated your site and bring traffic.

Sell banner ads etc.

Everything ski related in one spot. Directory.Articles. Events.Buy-sell.Reviews etc.
A lot of work to get it going, but great potential.

With that domain name, I'd personally get as ambitious as possible and make not a directory but a portal. It's almost the perfect domain (ski.com would be the pinnacle), yet branding it as Ski Net would be the next best thing and just as viable. You have a gem, and if you're willing to put some work into it (and maybe some captial), you could have one heck of website.

Well, my primary focus is to show immediate results as fast as possible. I'm developing this name with a friend and want to do something more simple at first and then after I can prove good income go for something better.

Thoughts?

Focus with a single thing first then expand from there. Example. Focus on Ski Resorts then until you get request for other products....

For other products use affiliate first until you see your sales grows then only you start thinking about sales or open online shop.

Do you think a wordpress blog with multiple pages for the different sections would be good?

i.e. ski resorts, ski equipment etc. etc.

Still fishing for ideas. I know the domain is good, so far I've noticed traffic isn't stellar but I'll have to make up for that with content that starts to rank well I suppose.
