UnShare.com - ideas?

Hi,
I am going to develop one of my new names - unshare.com.
I have a few ideas: bookmarking site, social network, similarsites.com type of site... but i want input on what could be the best way to develop it.

Sounds more like a private type domain rather then a social/bookmarking site to me...

unshare.com sounds to me like a site that doesn't share anything. If I had the domain I would make some sort of upload site, but an upload site that does not share the users uploads with other users.

I would also only allow documents to be uploaded or images of a certain size because if you allow anything to be uploaded you will have people trying to upload massive movies and other video files and unless you want to be paying big amounts of money for huge web hosting packages stick with the small files. That's what I'd do anyway! Goodluck.

Maybe a copyscape type of site?

A site that checks for software, videos, and what not to make sure they are not being displaced across the net?

A site where content is linked seperately from the accounts. So the last person to add content to an article or comment on a video has it added to their "collection" page(s) and removed from the last player's site. Score for most content "unshared" with some bonus points for the current collection... No idea really, but should have a scoring system that encourages movement, probably structured in a way that increases returns for less developed content areas or scores more for amount of content added. Might be interesting to see what gets passed around a lot.

Could get dynamic, interesting and a bit unconventional. Would probably need a dynamic sitemap of some kind but has interesting potentials.

In my opinion I wouldn't go for social bookmarking with this name.
I would go for a Legitimate download site that disuades people from downloading inferior copies of movies etc by offering 10 min teasers of movies in HD quality. The users then have an option to buy the movie for an exclusive online price.

I think an upload site with a slogan 'PRIVATE file hosting' or something would be interesting.

Maybe a site where users can flag sites that are abusive/viruses? Develop a simple firefox addon that when rolling over a URL it queries your site and checks if it's in the database of bad sites.

The name, in my opinion, is pretty poor.

I like that idea! Make it like a bookmark site, but a bookmark site for bad sites. So, if it is added too your list of bad sites ... then others can add it to theirs as well.

Off of these last ideas, you could broaden it to be a complaint site of sorts. Not only let people report malware sites, or scams, but allow users to give bad reviews to companies they dislike. Make it possible to search a highly categorized database of these sites. Have fun categories like "Worst Site of the Week."
