    | Wordpress Sitemap ? I have a simple wordpress blog and i have verified it but dont know how to add a sitemap at google webmaster tools ? Any advice ? Thanks in advance

| First you need to create a sitemap within your site to submit to google. Install this: WordPress › Google XML Sitemaps « WordPress Plugins Then once you create the sitemap, go to your webmasters dashboard. Under Sitemap click 'Add' Enter in the location of the sitemap: xxx.XxXxXx.xxx/sitemap-location Then click on Submit Sitemap Done! |

    | umm, isen't there a few sitemaps for WP? if so try a few others. You could also manually create a sitemap and just stick it in the footer fo your design, however you would need to run it every moneht to fetch the new pages. |

| How did you try to install it? You need to FTP into the wp-content/plugins directory Did you follow the installation instructions exactly as they were stated? Good luck!  Here are the exact installation instructions: 1. Upload the full directory into your wp-content/plugins directory 2. Use your favorite FTP program to create two files in your WordPress directory (that's where the wp-config.php is) named sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz and make them writable via CHMOD 666. More information about CHMOD and how to make files writable is available at the WordPress Codex and on stadtaus.com. Making your whole blog directory writable is NOT recommended anymore due to security reasons. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/website-development/581295-wordpress-sitemap.html 3. Activate the plugin at the plugin administration page 4. Open the plugin configuration page, which is located under Options -> XML-Sitemap and build the sitemap the first time. If you get a permission error, check the file permissions of the newly created files. 5. The plugin will automatically update your sitemap of you publish a post, so theres nothing more to do  |

| yes i did intsall the same as other plugins ??? just find another one and try i guess thanks

| pleased to say i got it working ( one small step for mankind ) I was trying to add sitemap/ instead i tried sitemap.xml ... it worked
