Pharmacy affiliates and Squaretrade

Hi,

I am currently developing a medical-drug information site to generate affiliate income. Both Google and Overture pay-to-play programs require that all online pharmacies and pharmacy affilliates participate in Squaretrade's pharmacy verification program, which is both expensive and restrictive.
Question: Does anyone know if this will preclude my site from working its way up the Google and Overture search engines in the "traditional" sense?

It seems like allot of these kind of sites are out there and high up in the search engines , so I would not see any trouble, I could be wrong though as I have not really research it enough. It is better to be trusted I would think in that Industry.

Also they want you to be trustworthy as a seller of drugs for you as well as your affiliates, people will and most likely look for some kind of seal like this so they can trust buying product from you.

You might want to make a few full page adds or sites for your affiliates to use with your seal on them, or do they require them to have their own seal?
