isn't manually submitting websites to search engines archaic and a relatively slow process?

also, there are zero indexed pages from your site in google...

zero indexed pages because this company site has only been online for a few days. Just because the site is new doesnt mean we dont deliver as we say. Everyone has to start somewhere.

I first used this system for my website Blacktop Bikers.com
Its a social Network for bikers kinda like myspace.

Go to google and search Blacktop Bikers or Social Network for Bikers and see where my site ranks

Dont want to use it, thats fine but dont slam it just for the hell of it

Umm.. As always Sorry this thread got slammed.

But just to clarify I also had this kind of thread back in 2005 submitting it to 250 search engines for 10 NP's. Yes it was all automated task I was just taking 10 NP's from users to use that script of mine for their URL's
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=510821

Then the time came when search engine submission was not as good as it used to be.

If submitting to 1000 search engines is spam. Which I don't think it is.

Then why to even submit to 66 search engines.

Not trying to hijack your thread friend. Your thread is good enough and if some users do want to get their sites submitted to search engines they can surely choose your services. Only thing is all major search engines crawl the sites themselves and add them into the index. Plus all the engines who do not crawl the sites themselves and add new sites to index are depending on the major search engines for the indexed data, someway or the other.

Yet there might be something I am missing

Thanks.

Like I said, use it or dont, nobody is forced too, its just an option.
The proof is in my above post. I tried the "submit to every damn search engine known to man" method with a few of my other sites and guess what, I never ranked in the top 50 with any of them, yet I used this system on my Social network and BAM, look at the results. I think it speaks for itself

well that explains why your site doesn't have any of its pages indexed in google, but the first point i made still hasn't been answered: "isn't manually submitting websites to search engines archaic and a relatively slow process?"

i just want to make sure that people aren't mislead. there is so much misinformation being floated around the internet and often leads to "odd" questions being asked. besides, it's not like this thread was posted in the correct forum to begin with.

Hummm you are slamming your thread yourself.

When you submitted to "all the search engines known to a man" you got nothing.
But when you submitted to 66 engines [Which obviously were included in all the search engines known to a man] then you started to see the good results.

Shockie, yes it is a slow process but it gets done. Like I said about the site not being indexed yet, its brand new but I have had the system for about 7 months.

Nick, It just goes to show that if you spam search engines with your site over and over that you will not get indexed as often if at all and can turn out bad in the long run.

I'm not going to sit here all night and answer questons about this site, it works, bottom line. Either use it or dont, like I said its an option and worked very well for me.

have you ever considered simply linking to your site in a forum signature instead of submitting it through your own method (seemorehits)? it should be a faster process and gets the job done better too (+backlink).
