Ridiculous question from an idiot

I have an idea for a website..

As far as I know, there's no other existing site like it.
I think it could be quite popular if it's made properly.

Thing is, I don't have the skills to make it myself.
I'd need to find someone to build the whole thing for me.

Now.. Here's the problem...

If I need to find someone to build my site, what's to stop them from just running off with my idea?

Thanks

it'd be better if you did. i can see this being better off in the legal subforum.

also, getting them to sign somethign would require either ridiculous coordination on your part (to send the paperwork, get it mailed back, etc) or somebody you personally know / can meet.

the internet can be troublesome in that way.

Hire good professional coders.

Professional coders don't run away with ideas they complete the projects.

They are coders and they will do their job.

there should be a contract between the 2 of you as validated by a lawyer.

I have learned my lessons of past but there still are decent honest developers out there.
