![]() ![]() | Years ago I changed over all of my sites to WordPress sites because they're so much easier to update. And for a business, a regularly updated site beats a fancy site that never changes. There are so many templates available that it's easy to find one that looks professional. So many companies are using Wordpress or other blogging software to update even the biggest blogs these days. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I say yes wordpress is great for a business site just well as a personal site. I have seen some websites built using wordpress that are awesome looking and didn't realize it was WP until I took a second look. I think WP is an easy first step toward a website too depending on your experience level. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Although I prefer Joomla! for my sites, I do use Wordpress for some sites. Wordpress over the last couple of years has changed, improved and added so many features it really isn't just blogging software anymore. It should promoted as a CMS package more. Having said that, using WP or any other blogging software needs to still use business like layouts when used for business. Most importantly lose the "Scroll down 20 pages look" . That is great for BLOGS, looks crap for business. Pagination is the key. Also Self Host. Nothing blows business credibility than a free hosted WP blog. There is Millions of Themes, widgets, plug-ins, Hacks available for WP . Go For it.

I will admit though Joomla is pretty good too though. |

The UK gov are "hip" because they use Wordpress, flickr, YouTube and Twitter [On a more serious note] Yes, wordpress is fine for businesses. Loads of huge companies use it. Ebay, NYTimes, BBC, CNN, Yahoo, Sony, etc Take a look for yourself: http://wordpress.com/notable-users/

![]() | Wordpress is extremely flexible and a theme can definitely be made for it, but it might not be the ideal system for a business website. You might want to look into a custom PHP site, or (as a last resort, I really dislike CMS) Joomla/Drupal |

![]() | According to my personal recommendation, static sites are good for business sites.

![]() ![]() ![]() | I think Joomla would be far too complex for this project, especially if you have no knowledge of working with cms. Wordpress is very easy to install and to update content. How professional the website looks is all about the design, not the cms. -Ben |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ^ Agreed. Stay well clear of Joomla for this sort of thing. My suggestion: Either WordPress or a static site.

It is as easy as Wordpress, if not easier. I wonder how many people that continually say Joomla! is hard to use , but wordpress is easy have ever actually used joomla!. Joomla content can be added very easily. It is as easy as adding a post to WP. I teach Joomla! to absolute beginners in only a couple hours. Both wordpress and Joomla! would be suitable.
