Web development

Since the mid-1990s, web development has been one of the fastest growing industries in the world. In 1995 there were fewer than 1,000 web development companies in the United States alone, but by 2005 there were over 30,000 such companies. The web development industry is expected to grow over 20% by 2010.What do you say?

its good to have competition, but its just disheartening to see how a good percentage of those web dev companies just rip other peoples work and sell it as their own... it's not only morally incorrect but it also degrades the general web community's integrity.

As a developer its exciting to see this kind of growth in the web industry. I also enjoy reading start-up blogs to see the competition in the "web 2.0" sector! Boy is there some exciting things going to happen in the next few years.
