Cheapest SSL Certificate

I am looking for a very cheap SSL certificate, primarily just for the fact that data transferred between client and server will be encrypted. My site is very new and I do not have a very large budget, so even these $80 SSL certificates are too expensive. I don't sell anything, but I do collect some personal information that will be better under https.

I have already looked at some cheap SSL certificate sellers, such as godaddy and namecheap, but I want more opinions. What's the cheapest (but still good) SSL certificate?

You're looking for a SSL certificate at just the right time!

You can get a free SSL certificate that's good for a year with any domain you register or transfer at Namecheap. Cheapest way is to just register a .info domain for $2.98 there and you'll get the SSL cert! Be sure to click the add "FREE PositiveSSL Certificate" to your cart when you checkout.

The SSL certificate DOES NOT have to be used on the domain you registered or transfered at Namecheap. You can use it on any of your domains, registered at any registrar (does not have to be Namecheap)!

See this link:

I was just posting about this in the Domain Name Discussion section today.
