Is this guy lying about analytics or not?

I bought some traffic from someone on ebay and the traffic was showing up in analytics everyday, up until I left the guy feedback. I left him good feedback, but that very day that I did that, the traffic stopped. I asked him why it stopped and he said the following(basically saying that analytics is not reliable in tracking traffic):

"We have looked through the traffic and IP logs and to be honest I am not seeing a loss or anything else that would prevent you from seeing this traffic. I do have some suggestions about why this may be happening and we have a few options for you to choose from. You are still under our 100% satisfaction guarantee so at any time if you want to close your campaigns we will be happy to refund your purchase.
The most frequent problem we see with traffic campaign reporting is with statistics software. There are generally two ways to track visitors to a site. The first is to view the server access logs, or use a software program that uses these logs as it's source. Examples of these packages include AWStats, Analog or Webalizer. These programs are quite accurate and track visitors by IP address and actions that are performed on the site.
The second means of tracking traffic is through a 'page tagging' method where a Java script or other code is added to the page that loads and attempts to learn about the visitor. Examples of this method are Statstracker and Google Analytics. These methods rely on a visitor opening the page which runs java script that communicates back to an outside server to report visitor behavior. Page tagging programs have the ability to track all visitors, but they are designed to track traffic from one verity or source (Google Analytics is designed to track traffic from Google Adwords ads for example) and for this reason we cannot accept these forms of stats of evidence there is a problem.
If you believe that our stats are incorrect, we ask that you please verify this with a stats package that uses your server logs as their source. If you see less traffic we will research the issue and add more credits."

Im sure he uses this forum so if your him, please dont reply pretending your not him.

Well I'm not him :P
Anyway. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Analytics so far.
Basically he is lying. Also, you shouldnt have given him the thumbs up comments before all the traffic had come.

Another reason mite be that google dislikes spam traffic.

Where was the traffic from ?? He could have bought traffic from someone and sold the website to you for a higher profit.
try statcounter... although im 100% sure that it doesnt have anything to do with analytics.

Server statistics are generally more reliable than 3rd party statistic scripts. Check with your hosting provider to see if they offer AWstats or another similar software..
