If I wanted to make a site to post pictures and articles about events which revolved around a calendar, which script should I start with?
I'd like to make something like:

I'd rather not have to modify Wordpress or Drupal myself. If I could just download something that acted as an image diary which someone else has made, I'd be a happy camper.
