I put a poll on my site (Yarrt.com) last week, and got a 98% vote for a myspace layout generator. I've added one (albeit, a little basic), and was wondering if I needed anything else in it. I'm just asking about features, nothing design-wise yet.
I've just added bold, italic, underline, overline and line-through options for headings, the name, and links. I'll now get working on making it look nicer.
I've added a link, right in the middle of the code so people who don't know html very well won't be able to remove it as easily. I've also removed all newlines and tabs to make it even more confusing for them, and to ensure the link stays on as many profiles as possible
I've changed all of the select boxes into radio buttons, and made everything line up, rather than be scattered around the page. The generated code is now in a big textarea, not just displayed.
Would it be worth it for me to make a few sample layouts, and put them on there? IE: Thumbnail image of layout, user clicks it, all form fields are filled in for that example layout.
