![]() | Do you mean someone who will advertise on your site? If so... I would suggest none, as a regular website user I hate adverts with avengance and as a website designer they make my skin crawl. However if it is a must - ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/website-development/30768-best-advertisers.html Google Adwords are pretty unobtrusive, they can match your content (roughly) and you can change the colour of them. Amazon is pretty nice too, but sometimes Internet Security blocks them. Banner Ads are pretty much ignored by the majority of web surfers (the big guys have paid money to look into this) infact designers have to be careful about design elements that look like ads - because often webusers eyes glaze over. Popunders and overs are awful eugh... especially the ones that keep on popping. most users will automatically close them within the first few seconds of them appearing. And once again, designers should be careful about having benign pop ups and unders since most users ignore them, and many have the google tool bar or internet security that block them anyway. So think carefully about whether any revenue generated by ads is really worth the users you will annoy. If they are necessary then try to find an unobtrusive, or innovative way of encorperating them in the design. Example - I used to love an online game, it had a few banner ads to begin with, but then as the number of users picked up to 10's of thousands the owners got more invasive ads, including gator and other spywear download popups. I don't play the game any more. |
