· #1 | | NamePros Member | Developing a site, newbie needs help... Hello all, I have several parked domains but I want to use one as a personal blog type website. How do I go from a parked site to making a real website? Nothing fancy, maybe just using a script and updating it every now and then. I have no clue where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! |

| First of all you will need hosting for your site, I would recommend clearlyhosted.org. When you have your hosting, find the script that you would want to use, then upload the script and follow the instructions to set it up (if your script has instructions, that is) |

· #3 | | Account Closed | as mikor said you will need webhosting first, there are some great hosting plans at clearlyhosted.org, if your not looking for anythign fancy then you could go with the starter plan, unless you will be requiring more space and the you can pick you package accordingly, upon buying hosting you will get a an email with clearlyhosted NS to point your domain to, then you can start setting up your site immidietly with FTP, and CPanel!! |

| Once you have found a host for your site, you can either use wordpress or movable type to write your blogs with. Obviously, you need to make sure that your hosting account allows you full access to download these programs on to your FTP server.
