![]() | how should I embed audio? All right, here's the question: what's the best way to embed audio on a website? I'm afraid that some users may not be allowed to play quick time or flash, as I know in the corporate world, this is sometimes the case. I want the audio to play immediately on page load, but I don't want it to loop. I would like a real small controller visible so they can stop/pause. Any opinions about the best method to do this? Thanks!

![]() | your gonna have to pick one or the other... cause windows media audio embedding is crap. I personally suggest flash because most ppl have it and its no hassle. Also flash preloads easier with a lighter script for slower computers. Find someone that can make a player for you real cheap or read up tuts and do it yourself. Flash is the way to go. Feel free to dissagree |

![]() | I don't need tuts - I can do it myself... I'm just nervous about people in the corporate world who have flash disabled. [edit] look at the links in my sig and you'll see I'm quite proficient in flash

![]() | Does it make any difference if the flash is loading the mp3 file externally, or should I have a self-contained swf with the audio in it? I'm trying to limit possible "security" issues and there's only one audio file... The way I have it now, it's loading the audio from an external file.
