| Question about buying sites I seen sites all over the net selling. Why would someone buy a site for $20,000+ and tha site only makes around $1,000+ or so. That would take around 20 months to get your money back so you not really making nuttin off of it and sometimes dont even get your money back. Whats the deal?

| You'll make money after 20 months. Patience is a virtue. |

| a site that has made 1,000+ a month consistently for 6-12 months or more could easily go for 12-36 months of revenue if not more as the consistency is the factor, anyone can have a profitable website for a month or two, find a profitable website with staying power and a buyer who has their own ideas or products to help increase that monthly revenue and they may be able to turn that 20 months x 1,000 into 10 months x 2,000 to get back to even a lot quicker. |

| Also, try to buy an offline business. If you offer one month of revenue to a bar owner for his establishment, he'll laugh at you.
Why would anyone sell something that makes them money for what they would get from it in just a few months if they kept it? I know I wouldn't.
The idea is you are purchasing something for the long haul. |

| If a site is consistently making $1000 + from the past 6-8 months then may it's worth buying for $20000 as you can recover your investment in 20 months or so or even before 20 months if you know how to capitalize on that consistency and increase it's revenue further. |

| In addition to staying in it for the long term, people also may purchase the site for that much money to try to get a monopoly on the market. If my site's competitor sells their site for $20,000, and I purchase it, than that means that I own the two largest sites for whatever product it is, and thus have a much greater market share, which in the long term will yield much more of a profit.

| Anybody here making that much a month on their site?
It would be nice to see just what kind of websites might generate that much per month?
