I wouldn't make one. They are way over done and over saturated. In the end people will go to image shack or one of the big ones. You have to get a new creative idea.

I agree and we are talking about big amounts of money in this situation for dedicated servers and advertisements.
I have started a free image hosting website project a while back, but could never complete it because it is almost impossible to compete with the services the bigger service providers give because they could afford professional programmers to improve their service.


Btw, techie, Coppermine isn't a script for image hosting, it's a personal image gallery script.

oic leviathon, PCWebAdvice and leviathon I don't want to compete here. I was just thinking to provide image hosting service to the forum users which I am going to start, as they use photobucket etc. If your host provides you 20 GB space and 400 GB bandwidth, you should be using that.

If you offer an already made script then many people are going to have it already, and your site will not be unique or different? so why will people want to use it? I designed a whole image and file hosting site in a day and it offers some things that others do not.. yet still I am not getting all to much traffic to it.. so I need to design some more things that are not yet offered yet by other image/file hosts. Its all about being unique and having good useful ideas.
