vbulletin 3.5 "gold"

Has anyone here upgraded yet? I'm thinking of doing it, but the thought of redoing all those hacks is making my head throb.

i upgraded mine
i had only 1 mod
V3ARCADE..and john is making an upgrade for 3.5....which looks awesoem right now

wt mods do u have right now?
If u have the ones that are available for 3.5 too then installing mod in 3.5 will be easy
u dont even have to edit anything for most of them

Mods are no problem; as you said, 3.5 has an excellent mod system. Its those 1000 and 1 hacks where I edited the source that worry me.

Well if you upgrade you will have to reinstall, theres no doubt about that, I really recommend upgrading 3.5 is so much better, but theres the hack thing and the skins

I upgrade on one forum as it used only 1 hack but the others with 3-4 hacks i didnt bother yet due to the hacks not ported over yet.

But 3.5 is sweet and once all hacks are ready for it it will be even better.

One of my friends who run a forum has recently got a new copy of vb 3.5 gold and it didnt take to long for him to install the hacks.

yeh, with there new plugin system addons hacks etc are simple to install and only a few large hacks recuire editing the code

i upgraded my forum i have no hacks installed so i didn't need to worry about them

Your just going to have to sit down one night with plenty of coffee a go for it. It will certainly be worth it after you have finished and you will be able to sit back relax and say "ha look at all these people complaining that they need to re code their hacks".
