| Blog or articles?
I've never used Mambo before, but I have it set up now at regfee.info
I just set up a new article using the faq system (titled "Overture with extension explained"), but I was wondering if I should use the blog system instead so people could comment.
Do you think there should be an indexed article system, or blog entries that would eventually be archived?

| With blogs you can turn comments on/off. Go blogs.

| If you have quality Articles specific to some topics, the you should use CMS or Article system. Mambo is a good choice, but you need to use some hacks to make it more search engine friendly. every thing else is just fine with mambo. Also if you chose Mambo then go for Joomla because mambo development is stopped and the same developers are now concentrating on Joomla project [ www.joomla.org/ ]. Almost every CMS allows the visitor to leave a comment.
If you occasionally write and you need easy system then you should use a Blog. Blog are good if you just want to post your opinion and maintain the site without any technical knowledge.

| We use mambo a lot, I say the article and get the search engine friend mod as well this will help.
You can also set up the blog and start a chat about the article and link towards the article that you are chatting about. This will help with the engines picking up the articles as well as get's your blog off the ground

It fits almost any needs. But if you don't write regularry you don't need any kind of bLog.
