|  Looking to acquire a programming team for a POWERFUL CMS.
Hi,
I've been designing what I hope will someday be one of the most powerful CMS systems available.
I'm going to call it Crestin, (any other name idea is accepted... as this is not set in stone) and I have some main ideas for it: - Free base package download. Installation is just 2 or 3 steps. Includes: Member login/logout, basic profile, about page, contact info/page, ya know. The basics.
- A SDK for other web developers to write addons. The addons is the cool part:
- Each addon is either free or not (depending on complexity), and the installs are designed to be extremely simple. Upload all files of 1 directory, then a 1-click installation does the rest.
- An SDK for developers to write their own mods for the addons. Addons are the individual applications, mods make the apps more powerful. Mods will be a 1 or 2 click install.
- Available "hacks" can ALTER (not add, just change) functionality of a particular feature. These are done manually. No compiled install.
- Constant uplink to the Crestin server. This allows for the administrator to keep software up-to-date. 1 click installation for all major updates.
- Syndication for applicable content.
- Skins. Lots of fun themes to change the look of the CMS.
- Powerful administration interface. The base package includes a simpler one to manage members, and a proposed more powerful one can be purchased, for say, $5.
- As for purchases, the web developers can sell their ADDONS only (no mods or hacks) - they get, say, 20% of the sales and we get the other 80%. This is a win-win situation. Payments would go via Paypal. Paypal email addresses would be stored in a secure database for easy payments.
This system would allow you to, basically, write an entire.... for example. ... virtual pet site - something that whole domains & hosting accounts & servers are set up for. Just 1 virtual pet site. THIS would make a WHOLE, functional website, a MERE ADDON. Other addons could be installed and programmed, such as forums, chat room, blogs, notepad, and MORE!

The general idea is that the revenue is split among the developers, based on how many things they write for this, or how much time they put into it. We may also sell Crestin addons (components) for NP$ to other Namepros members.
