i have to agree with google's guidelines there, as most "doorway" pages i've seen are not good at all for search engines. also when going about #5, be sure not to submit to link farms.

#1 is a good tip to start out with your SEO, but as you begin to get ranked higher, you need to start to outperform your competitors. i was talking to another np member in chat a few months ago and he was all about matching keyword density with competitor sites, and the competitor's keyword density wasn't even that great, plus the tool he was using to calculate keyword density was flawed.
